A message from Shane

Sitting for a moment, a large golden brown boulder my seat, I cast my soft gaze over the river, greeting the sunlight, the morning mist, the baby mullet bobbing to the surface and a family of ducks gunning for two majestic Pelicans, all feeling like familiar old friends. Except this scene I’m watching, like a movie playing out in real time, for the first time, is unscripted, spontaneous and entertaining but unlike a movie that offers a moment out of the mundane, to perhaps escape the day to day “grind”, this act takes me deeper into the mundane, to what’s actually happening in the moment, forcing a presence to really watch and see what happens next, to maybe question why, to listen, to feel, receive all of the offerings and absorbing them like lessons (not always learnt) from a teacher that we choose to sit in front of.

We chose this life! Like it or not we’ve signed up for this course that is birth to death and in between is the learning, the letting go, falling over and getting up again, the growing, the maturing.

These are all opportunities to be more present, intimately and intensely engaged with the this real life movie that’s ”happening” and the teachers that play their role dressed in character as partners, children, pelicans, a sea breeze or a desert sunset, young saplings rising up from seed through the dark soil moving up and out towards space and light. This last analogy is from where I wish to introduce my students from the 9 month Zenthai Therapist program who have been some of my greatest teachers this year. Blown away, I’m in awe of what these 12 humans have brought as their own individual offerings, their vulnerabilities, their curiosities, their unique talents into the script this year, It’s inspirational and I’ve learnt so much being in this communal connecting through shared passions and interest, as much as our differences, in learning something new, opening up to a different view or perspective that we’ve never seen.

Now that is living. Being in the happening of real time.

If you’d like to come and play a role, see, feel and enjoy what I’m banging on about then our Prana Project Zenthai Community Open Day is happening on Saturday November 30th with Yoga, our own Prana Project Chai, food, 30min Zenthai sessions, music, fire sit with philosophy and the planting of your very own re-gen legacy tree if you feel to.

Lets learn from nature and each other as one. Click COUNT ME IN to send me an email, let me know you’re coming so I know how much chai to brew and I’ll shoot you all the details x.

Rivers of love,

Shane
