Freedom fighting old stories and bad habits

If you threw all of the components of your life into a gigantic cauldron and were asked to distill it down to the essence of it’s meaning, what would that look like for you? Would it look like relationships? Career? Being in service? Adventure? Or would it all mix into a lovely shade of brown?

Without doubt, up until just a few years ago, mine would have been the latter - whilst it still overflows with so many different components, at it’s heart is a little gem that extends it’s way out into every other aspect of my life. It’s the gem of finding freedom from old stories and harmful habits. It’s not the kind of thing you think about as a child when people ask you that age old and outdated question ‘what do you want to do when you grow up?’ but, for me, disentangling and dissolving patterns that cause suffering, has become a passion, both as a human and as a Therapist. It’s been the focus of my academic study, as well as my self study, for more than a decade.

For ten years it’s been a personal odyssey, shaking off a most impressive two decade drug and alcohol career, that’s alchemised in more recent years to the way that I am able to help others. It’s where my music industry life, my role as Mother, Grandmother, Wife and Therapist all merge into one. It’s where my life’s mistakes gave birth to my life’s meaning and propelled me to a place where each year I assist hundreds of people to leave old stories and harmful habits behind, for good. Have you got those special challenges along your life’s timeline that compelled you to better things?

It’s strange sometimes to see where you’ve landed and where you feel most at home. Far from the dreams that you believed would be the future of your life but were in actuality either attachment to or rebellion from the conditioning of your childhood. So rather than chase with your mind, assess how things feel at the centre of your chest - if light and spacious follow, if tight and tense, turn away. Even if the mind - and those around you - are telling you otherwise.

If you’re ready for The Master Course on freeing yourself from things that make you suffer.
