The First Module of my own first Yoga Teacher Training

On the weekend I was standing in my kitchen and I had this incredible moment of realisation.

I was in our 110 year old farmhouse on the banks of the river and it was filled with all this hustle bustle of people making lunch and teas, laughing and chatting together.

It was the first module of my own first Yoga Teacher Training. As I was standing in the kitchen with this amazing, hilarious, loving group of humans, it struck me how long and how incredible an adventure it's been to get here. It's ten years and a minimum of 10000hrs of teaching alone before you can be the senior teacher on a certified teacher training. Then there's the space we've built, the land we bought, the trees we've planted, the grass we've grown, the manuals we've written and holy moses, so much more.

It was a mind-blowing moment that made me think about where I've been and how extraordinary the twists of life. From touring Japan with Rancid and Pennywise, sitting in a studio and chatting with Tarantino, to comparing outfits with Debbie Harry to feeding my pigs Tina and Hazel, planting 10000 trees, having run a yoga studio for 11 years, to speaking on everything from music producers to mental health.

What a ride. And the best part? The people. The phenomenal folks who are trying to feel better, be better and do better a little each day, for themselves, for others and the world.

That is my kinda people.
