Loving What Is — and Letting It Go
Do you have a few special, favourite things? I do.
The watch my husband gave me when I finished my years of Yoga Therapy training.
My spectacles that help me read lovely words. My wildflower earrings. My children.
This dance with non-attachment is a funny thing, learning to love things while knowing they won’t last forever. Including learning to love our bodies, whilst simultaneously knowing that they won’t live eternally. There’s a sweetness in that truth. An understanding that everything, even the things we treasure most, are part of life’s great flow of change. And the aspiration of non-attachment - to love immensely without obstacle or hesitation - whilst simultaneously accepting without obstacle or hesitation, that the things we love, none of those things will last forever. At least not in the way they are today.
Yoga has taught me that the more we lean into impermanence, the more we open to love. And vice versa. Not the kind of love that clings or fears loss, but the kind that sees beauty in each fleeting moment in every inhale and exhale, sunrise and sunset, hello and goodbye.
That has been one of the most precious gifts, for me, of a long relationship with yoga. Yoga that provides me a framework in which to move my body, to improve the quality of my own respiration, to build fortitude and loving command of my own wild, beautiful mind, and the ways in which to be with others.
And that’s what our 350-hour Yoga Teacher Training is all about too.
Our inaugural group is not far from graduation and seeing them change, to let go of parts of their own cages of self-identity, to lean into and develop existing as well as new strengths, to be brave and brilliant even when nervous or uncertain, to open up to philosophies that may have once challenged. As Yoga Teachers we get to see the affects of yoga reaffirmed over and over again.
Some of them want to teach, others were just ready to stop feeling like where they wanted to be was too far away.
Keen?
Yes, you’ll learn postures, anatomy, philosophy, sequencing and facilitation, but more than that, you’ll learn how to live from that space of deeper awareness. How to teach from it.
It’s a year-long adventure of remembering who you are beneath the layers, the identities, the roles, the stories. A gentle unfolding that invites you to love more fully, move more consciously, and share that presence with others. Each training weekend becomes its own little sanctuary, surrounded by community, grounded in nature, and held in the shared intention to grow. You’ll be guided by Shane and I, who weave ancient wisdom with practical tools to help you teach and live yoga as a daily, embodied experience.
Whether you’re joining us to become a yoga teacher, to deepen your personal practice, or simply to explore life from a more soulful perspective, this training meets you where you are.
Because yoga, like love, isn’t about holding on tight. It’s about opening up — again and again — to the beauty of this ever-changing life. So as you sip your tea, wear your favourite glasses, or notice the way your breath moves softly in and out… perhaps this is your invitation.
To step into 2026 with intention.
To say yes to evolution.
To join us for a year of learning, laughter, and the kind of transformation that stays with you for life. We can attest to that, hands down.
Our 2026 350 hr Yoga Teacher Training begins February 2026. Spaces are limited, and we’d love to share it with you. If your heart gives a little “yes,” follow it. You might just find yourself right where you’re meant to be.
Have a little squizz here.
Lissie,
